Wormald grew up in Stoughton in Massachusetts from where he completed in 2002 his schooling from Stoughton High School, after which he moved to Los Angeles. His parents are Edgar K. Wormald and Melanie Wormald, and have 2 brothers named Lee and Dylan. Wormald started dancing while he was still a child of only 6 years of age, and he had also joined Sherry Gold Studio in order to take dance lessons. He was the winner of Master Dance of New England at the age of 13, and was subsequently titled Junior Mr. Dance of New England. Only a year later, he became Teen Dancer of Boston, andat 15 was the Teen Mr. Dance of New England. For the Easter celebration at the White House, Wormald danced for Bill Clinton (the then President of the USA) in 1996.
