Justin Upton who is an American professional baseball outfielder currently plays for Detroit Tigers. In addition to that, he has also played in the Major League Baseball for Arizona Diamondbacks from the year 2007 till 2012, the Atlanta Braves in 2013 and 2014 as well as The San Diego Padres in 2015. He has also been the teammate of his brother named Melvin Upton with both Braves and The Padres. Justin is the native of Norfolk, Virginia. Justin was an All-District shortstop for the Great Bridge High School located in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was also awarded the AFLAC National High School Player of the year award. In his first professional season, Justin played for Class-A South Bend Silver Hawks. He started 2007 with Class-A Advances Visalia Oaks but was then promoted to AA Mobile BayBears after hitting the .341 with 5 home runs for Oaks in April. On 2nd August 2007, he was called up to big league team when he was 19 years old after an injury to everyday eight fielder Carlos Quentin.
On 20th January of the year 2013, The Arizona Diamondbacks completed the trade with Atlanta Braves that sent Justin as well as Chris Johnson to Braves in exchanged for Martin Prado, Randall Delgado, shortstop prospect Nick Ahmed, the pitching prospect Zeke Spruill as well as he minor league first baseman Brandon Drury.
