We have known Julie Chen for being the TV personality, producer as well as news anchor and she has been mostly known for her role of being the host of U.S. version of CBS reality TV program known as Big Brother in which she has made her debut in July of the year 2000. After completing the graduation, she started serving as news assistant for the ABC News that is located in the Los Angeles, California. It was there, when she met her long term boyfriend named as Gary Donahue and he is a TV news editor. After that, Julie got married to her husband Leslie Moonves in the year 2004. Her husband is the president as well as chief executive officer of the CBS Television whom she is happily married now.
The couple started dating with each other while Leslie was still married to his then wife Nancy Wiesenfeld Moonves. Later, Julie and Leslie tied their knot after his divorce with Nancy on 23rd December of the year 2004 and their private wedding ceremony was held at their home in Acapulco, Mexico which was attended by their friend as well as family members. The couple is now the proud parents of a child, a son whom she gave birth on 24th September of 2009 and he is named as Charlie Moonves.
Apart from that, Julie Chen had her first job in June of 1990. At that time, she interned as the CBS Morning News along with Andy Cohen. Next year, while she was still in the school, she began working for the ABC NewsOne as desk assistant. After that, she travelled to Dayton, Ohio for working as news anchor for the WDTN-TV. There, she served from 1995 till 1997. It was at that time, when she underwent plastic surgery on the eyes for making it look larger.
