Not many of us have the privilege of having multiple careers. Joe Scarborough is one such person, and let's have a look at his bio below.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on 9th April 1963, Scarborough is 52 years of age. He has been married two times. Melanie Hinton was once his wife for 13 years, from 1986 until their divorce in 1999. He married Susan Waren in 2001, who was earlier a congressional committee staffer and Jeb Bush's (ex-Florida Governor) aide. They had two children and divorced in 2013.

Scarborough was the son of George Francis Scarborough (a businessman) and Mary Joanna, and he had two other siblings. He finished his schooling from Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola, Florida. In 1985, he got his Bachelor's in Arts from the University of Alabama. He also received in 1990 a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Law. He also had a band with which he performed and produced albums, and was a teacher at high school.

He practiced law later in Pensacola, after being admitted in 1991 to the Florida Bar. One of his most known cases was that of anti-abortionist Michael F. Griffin vs. David Gunn. He later said in an interview why he came out of the case, stating that the prosecutors were wanting Griffin to be punished with death penalty. He did help Griffin choose other counselors who were offering their help, and also shielded his family from media.

Scarborough had a good political career as well. Let's list down the highlights of his political career: victory in the Primary Florida 1st Congressional Elections of the Republican Party (1994), re-elections in the 1996 elections, and being rated 95% in his lifetime by the American Conservative Union. He has actively spoken for decentralization of power and access and rights of the unborn fetus.

A number of awards won by him are: Friend of the Taxpayer Award (given by Americans for Tax Reform), Guardian of Small Business Award (given by National Federation of Independent Business), Spirit of Enterprise Award (given by US Chamber of Commerce), Taxpayer's Hero Award (given by Citizens Against Government Waste), Guardian of Senior's Rights Award (given by 60 Plus Association).

There are three books written by Scarborough. His 1st book is titled Rome Wasn't Burnt in a Day: the Real Deal on how Politicians, Bureaucrats, and other Washington Barbarians are Bankrupting America. This book was published in 2005. His 2nd book released in 2009, The Last Best Hope is about the plan outlined by Scarborough to bring back victory to the defeated conservatives, who lost the 2006 midterm elections as well as the 2008 Presidential elections. His 3rd book is also on politics, titled The Right Path: From Ike to Reagan, How Republicans Once Mastered Politics – and Can Again was released 2013. His story appeared in 2011 after his father's death on Politico and Congressional Record, and a eulogy written by Scarborough was published online as an op-ed.

Scarborough is part of the NBC network, and he has his own TV show. He has over 300 thousand followers on Twitter, and the Instagram account of his show has over 16 thousand followers.
