Jemele Hill who is mostly recognized as the American columnist in the Page 2 of the was born on 21st December 1975. She is the native of Detroit, Michigan, USA. Despite being a girl, Jemele was grown up as a tomboy. She went to the Mumford High School and later joined the Michigan State University from where she got graduated in the year 1997 with a degree in the journalism and minor in Spanish. As a child, Hill used to love playing as well as watching baseball. Additionally, she also loved to write stories but specially short stories about the rich lawyers. She then realized later that she want to become a sports writer rather than stories writer.

At the beginning of her career, she started working for Raleigh News & Observer as a general assignment sports writer. Hill served as the sports writer from the year 1999 toll the year 2005 with Detroit Free Press where she mainly covered the Michigan State football and basketball. During her tenure there, she had also covered 2004 Summer Olympics as well as the NBA Playoffs. After that, she joined the Orlando Sentinel in 2005 and began to serve as a columnist for them. Hill remained there for a year.

She was then hired by the ESPN in November of the year 2006 where she started to work on as a national columnist. Since then, she began to establish herself as one of the ESPN’s most provocative as well as a popular personality. In addition to that, Jemele also appears regularly on the television which also includes the Sports Center as well as other ESPN programs such as Outside the Lines, ESPN First Take and The Sports Reporters. From June of 2013, she replaced Jalen Rose on ESPN 2’s show called Number Never Lie.

To talk about her personal life, there is not much information related to her private life. She loves to keep her things private. But she has not married yet. But talking about her dating life, there is a rumor that she is in the relationship with Ray Lewis who is her co-worker. Once in an interview, she stated that the news about her relationship with her co-worker was false and she also said that she has been in relationship with Idris Elba for two years. Jemele is now at the age of 38 but she still looks young and she has a curvy body. Hill is of Black ethnicity and is an American citizen.

Apart from that, Hill has won numerals awards and achievements for her work. In the year 1998, she won the North Carolina Press Association Award for sports writing. She also became first recipient of the Van Mckenzie IN Sports Media Summit in 2007. She was also honored by The Rising Star Alumni Award in the same year from the Michigan State’s College of the Communication. She also served as a grand marshal for Michigan State University homecoming parade in the year 2014. In beginning of her career, she had to struggle and she has now settled herself as a sports columnist in the ESPN. Hill is very hard working and she is very dedicated towards her work.
