Jeffrey Toobin

Toobin went to Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School located in New York City. He also attended Harvard College. While he was in Harvard, Toobin covered the sports for Harvard Crimson. There, his column carried name “Inner Toobin”.

In the year 1982, Jeffrey got graduated magna cum laude with the Bachelor of Arts degree and also earned himself a Truman Scholarship. Later, he again joined Harvard Law School and from there, in 1986, he graduated magna cum laude with a law degree. During his time there, Jeffrey was also the editor of Harvard Law Review.

Jeffrey is a senior legal analyst for the CNN. He is based on the network’s New York Bureau. He has been serving for CNN since April of the year 2002. Previous to CNN, he was working for the ABC News as a legal analyst where he worked for six years.

While his tenure there, Jeffrey earned an Emmy Award for the coverage of Elian Gonzalez case. Jeffrey was the first who interviewed Martha Stewart about the investigation for the insider trading. Toobin has also served as an assistant United States Attorney in the Brooklyn as well as an associate counsel in Office of Independent Counsel Lawrence E. Walsh.

Prior to that, Jeffrey Toobin was also a staff writer at New Yorker and had been covering the legal affairs for New Yorker since 1993. In addition to that, Jaffrey Toobin has also written several books which includes; The Oath: The Obama, White House and The Supreme Court, The Nine: Inside Secret World of Supreme Court, Too Close to Call: Thirty Six Day Battle to Decide the 2000 Election, A Vast Conspiracy: Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down the President, The Run of His Life: People v. O.J. Simpson, and Opening Arguments: A Young Lawyer’s First Case.

To talk about his personal bio, Jeffrey Toobin got married to Amy Bennett McIntosh in the year 1986. Jeffrey and Amy met each other while they both were working at Harvard Crimson newspaper during the college time. Jeffrey’s wife Amy is a graduate of 1980 and she holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

The couple has two children together. Their first child, named Ellen was born in 1991 and the second child named Adam was born in 1992. Besides that, Jeffrey Toobin had a long-term extramarital affair with Casey Greenfield who is the daughter of an American television journalist as well as author Jeff Greenfield.

Apart from that, Jeffrey Toobin is a Jewish. Besides, it was revealed by Politico on March of 2009 that, Jeffrey was the member of private discussion group called JournoList in which several hundred left leaning bloggers, magazine writers, political reporters, policy monks and the academics talked stories and compared notes.
