Janice Dickinson who is an American photographer, author, model, as well as the talent agent was born on 15th February 1955. She is mostly know for producing as well as writing “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here” and America’s Next Top Model. She is the native of Brooklyn, New York, U.S. As a child, she was named as Janice Doreen Dickinson. She is the middle daughter of her parents Ray Dickinson and Jennie Marie who were a Scots-Irish ancestry and of Polish descent respectively. She was raised up in Hollywood, Florida along with her elder and younger sister named Alexis and Debbie. She together with her family moved to Florida from Brooklyn when she was just at the eighteen months old in the year 1957. Janice completing her schooling from South Broward High School located in Holly, Florida from where she got graduated in 1973.
Janice moved to New York City in early 1970 for pursuing a career in modeling after she won a National Competition called Miss High Fashion Model. Later, she was discovered by fashion photographer Jacques Silberstein when Lorraine Bracco, his girlfriend told that she liked the look of Janice. In early 1980s, Janice was considered as one of the supermodel. She had made her appearance for numbers of magazine covers such as Cosmopolitan, Elegance, Photo, Harpar’s Bazaar, Playboy, Vogue and Marie Claire as well as she has also worked with the best known fashion like Pino Lancetti, Calvin Klein, Gianni Versace, Bill Blass, Azzedine Alaia, Oscar de la Renta and Halston. Prior to that, Janice is also an author. She has released a memoir in which she has detailed her wild days as a supermodel. The book is titled as “No Lifeguard on Duty: Accidental Life of World’s First Supermodel and it was released in the year 2002. After that, she followed her memoir with another one in 2004 which she gave the title of “Everything About Me is Fake… And I’m Perfect. She has described about her life in the modeling, her experience with the plastic surgery and also about her battles with anorexia, alcoholism and bulimia. Her third memoir was released in 2006 and it was titled as “Check, Please! Dating, Mating and Extricating. It is the in which she discussed about the men in her life and also prescribes her rules for the dating. In addition to that, Janice has also recorded a song titled Crazy and it was written and produced by Craig Taylor.
To talk about her personal life, Janice has married for three times. At first, she got married to Ron Levy. The couple then divorced due to some personal reason. She then again got married with Simon Fields in 1987. Later they remained with each other till 1993 and again got divorced. She has one child, a son named Nathan Ray Michael Fields with Simon whom she gave birth on 5th Amy 1987. After that, she married with Albert B. Gerston in the year 1995. In addition to that, she had also a relationship with her former boyfriend Michael Birnbaum. They have a daughter together who is named Savannah. Later, in 2012, she was again engaged to Dr. Robert Gerner who is a psychiatrist.
Apart from that, Janice is now at the age of 59 but she has still managed to looks beautiful. She was one of the Most Successful Model throughout 1970s and 1980s. She was also ranked at number 25 in World’s Greatest Supermodel by Channel 5. She also underwent plastic surgery of her breast.
