James McPake who is a professional football player is currently playing for the Scottish Premiership side Dundee. He had also previously played for the Livingston, Greenock Morton, Coventry City as well as Hibernian. James has mainly played as the defender although he started his career as the forward. In his youth career, James played for the Holytown Colts, Coatbridge Amateurs, Livingston pro youth as well as Celtic South BC. He started his professional career when he signed with then Scottish First Division Team Livingston in August of the year 2000 as the youth academy player.
He did not make his debut for that club until almost 4 years later in April of 2004 when the team was playing in SPL. He then agreed new two years contract with the Livingston in 2005. The next year in January, Scottish Second Division side Greenock Morton signed him on the loan after he had rejected proposed loan moves to the Gretna and Patrick Thistle. He then made his debut for the Morton against the Gretna on 14th January. He signed the pre contract in December of 2008 for joining the Coventry City on three and half years deal in summer of 2009. But Coventry and the Livingston agreed a fee on 2nd February of 2009 to complete transfer immediately.
Prior to that, he was selected by the Northern Ireland in May of the year 2012 who he qualifies playing for the through a grandparent born in Coleraine. Additionally, he made his international debut on 2nd June of 2012 in a 6-0 defeat by the Netherlands. James is the native of Bellshill, Scotland.
