Jackee Harry

Jackee Harry was born on 14 August 1956 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was raised by an Afro-American father and African-Trinidadian mother. She studied High School of the Performing Arts located in Midtown Manhattan in New York City.

Jackee Harry has already married four times. She has an adopted son named Frank with one of her husband Elgin Charles Williams with whom she stayed from 1996 to 2003. Name of her other husbands is not known.

Jackee Harry at the beginning of her career was a history teacher at Brooklyn Technical High School. Later she made her debut in 'A Broadway Musical'. Starring in several on and off Broadway she then became the part of a theater show Lay Day at Emersons Bar and Grill as Billie Holiday.

She also did the role of 'madam who runs a bordello' in 'The Boys from Syracuse', a Broadway musical. Some of the other stage productions she appeared on are, Damn Yankees, The Sunshine Boys and A Christmas Carol.

Her television debut was made in television screen as Lily Mason in Another World from to 1983 to 1986. She became the part of NBC sitcom 227 as Sandra Clark in 1985. She left the show in 1989 and starred opposite to Oprah Winfrey for 'The Women of Brewster Place'. Jackee also was the cast of 'The Royal Family' in 1991 and the following year she was seen as an assistant coach in Ladybugs.

She was a guest panelist of the 'To Tell the Truth' in the year 2000. In 2005 she was there on the second season of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club 2. Her next most known was Lisa Landry who was an adoptive mother of the character Tia Mowry on sitcom Sister, Sister. She has won NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in comedy Sister, Sister.

Jackee was then seen in the recurring role on the CW series Everybody Hates Chris as Vanessa and also on BET Series 'Let's Stay Together'. Currently, she can be seen in the syndicated sitcom 'The First Family' as Byron Allen. She also appeared in 'Girl Meets Demolition'.

In 2013 she was in the movie 'Forbidden Woman' and the next year she was on 'Instant Mom' as a guest in a character Lisa Landry. In the year 2016, she played roles in 'Sax Problems' and '2 Broke Girls'.
