Iwan Thomas is a sprinter who represented the Great Britain and the Northern Ireland at Olympic Games in 400 meters as well as Wales at Commonwealth Games. He is also a former European and Commonwealth Games champion. His coach for most of his career was Mike Smith, formerly coach to the British 400m Roger Black, Todd Bennett as well as Paul Harmsworth also hurdler Kriss Akabusi.
