Heather Childers

Heather Star Childers was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States of America in January 7 1969. She spent her childhood in the place where she was born.

For her education, Childers was sent to the Sharon Elementary School, in the Foxcroft are of Charlotte, followed by Myers Park High School, from where she graduated in 1987. Childers’ correspondent colleagues Ainsley Earhardt and Anna Kooiman are also said to have attended the same elementary school. Since they joined the school in different years, they didn’t get the chance to be classmates.

Unfortunately at the age of 16, Childers crashed her 1964 Chevrolet Corvair into a tree on Queens Road West after which she had to go through lots of reconstructive facial and oral surgery.

For higher studies, Childers attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Childers started out as a journalist by working as a producer and reporter at WCNC-TV in 1992. Three years later, she was hired as a weekday anchor and news director by a Fox affiliate in Albany, Georgia – WFXL.

Childers then went on to work from an ABC affiliate in Asheville, North Carolina – WLOS-TV – in 1999. She started working as the news anchor at News 14 Carolina from 2002 to 2010.

Childers, after departing from News 14 Carolina, joined Fox News Channel and started working as the network’s general assignment reporter from the fall of 2010.

In August 2011, Childers was promoted to the anchor the show America’s News Headquarters. Parterning with Heather Nauert, as one of the two rotating co-hosts, Childers also appears on the Fox News Channel program Fox & Friends First.

Childers faced criticisms from the social media back in April 2012 after she linked to an article “Did Obama Campaign Threaten Chelsea Clinton’s Life?”  from www.godfatherpolitics.com in her Twitter account. The article has accused Obama trying to silence the Cilnton family on the truth behind Obama’s birth certificate and Childers created a huge controversy. Later she stated that she was just “asking for opinions.”

Childers is no doubt a huge media personality. Her popularity has also spread rapidly on social networking sites like Twitter and Instagram.

She joined Twitter on November 2010 at @HeatherChilders and has already collected 166 thousand followings on her account. Available on Instagram at @heatherchilders1, she has gained around 31.3 thousand followers on the site.

She also possesses a facebook account in which around 25.9 thousand people have liked her page and 25.6 thousand people are following her.
