Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 26 April 1958, Giancarlo Alessandro (full name Giancarlo Giuseppe Alessandro Esposito) is an American actor, film producer/director who is currently of age 57. He has been active in the entertainment industry since 1966. The following is the bio of this celebrity.

Born to parents of mixed heritage, Esposito's father Giovanni Esposito was Italian while his mother Elizabeth Foster was Afro-American. His mother sang in operas and nightclubs, and his father worked as a carpenter and stagehand. Until he was 6 years old, Esposito lived in Europe after which his family settled down in Manhattan. He has a degree in Radio/TV Communications which he received by attending Elizabeth Seton College in New York for 2 years.

Esposito's debut as an actor came through the Broadway production of Maggie Flynn, where he played the role of a slave child. Esposito has had over 50 TV appearances and over 70 films to his credit. His role of Gustavo “Gus” Fring on Breaking Bad (a very popular TV series) has made him very popular among hardcore crime drama fans.
