Gabriel Rosado is popularly known as an American professional Basketball player and a two time world middleweight title challenger. He also is a former NABA in Pennsylvania State and also a WBO Intercontinental light middle weight champion in his weight group. He was born in the year 1986, January 14, currently 29 years of age, and was born and brought up in Philadelphia at Pennsylvania state. He is also part city’s large Puerto Rico community.
His career did not begin as expected, he won five bouts before he lost to Chris Gray who had a record of three wins and two losses in total which followed up that loss win next win before he lost to Joshua Onyango with a record of twelve wins and thirteen losses. He would bounce back with four wins before he dropped to an eight round decision to the future contender Fernando Guerrero. The two of his wins followed a split decision victory over IBF light-middleweight champion Kassim Ouma, before he faced second round knockout defeat to Alfredo Angulo. He rebounded with wins against Latif Munday and Saul Roman before he lost the majority decision to Derek Ennis.
He got shut out against Charlo but he got offered with the chance to compete middleweight and super middleweight contender Brian Vera for the title match in inauguration of Big Knockout Boxing middleweight championship. That fight took place on 2014, August 16. He defeated by Vera in the sixth round by TKO and won the title.
He was paired up against David Lemieux, who is known as a hard punching Canadian boxer just after his victory over Vera. The match took place on Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in the year 2014, December 6th. The match was totally a one sided affair because the Canadian hard puncher had Rosado dropping in the ground before 4th round and leaving his eyes swollen early. The referee of the match stopped the fight in the tenth round because Rosado was unable to judge Lemieux’s shots and punches. He eventually lost the game which made it his fifth lost.
He defeated BKB middleweight title against Curtis Stevens. Rosado attempted to control the jabs and Curtis tried to land his one left hook to end the match quickly; Rosado got dropped quickly in the match and the fight was declared as a draw. He increased his weight by six pounds in his total weight to challenge WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin for the title. Rosado had kept his effort at his maximum to avoid getting dropped though he suffered a severe shot Golovkin. He also suffered an early cut in that fight that but it worsened as the match went on. The fight stopped in the seventh round as Rosado seemed to be struggling to stand up.
His next fight was against J’Leon Love. He knocked down Love in the sixth round and Rosado lost a close split decision. The fight was changed into a no contest after it was revealed that Love had used Hydrochlorothiazide which was banned in the contest. He is active in social network sites like twitter and instagram.
