Erica Hill is an American journalist. She was born on 20th July 1976 in Clinton, Connecticut. As a child, she was named as Erica Ruth Hill. She is of American nationality and white ethnicity. Hill attended Boston University from where she got graduated in the year 1998 with a BA in journalism.

At the beginning of her journalism career, Hill started serving as a production assistant for PC Week Radio which was an online news program. During her tenure there, she also used to work as a conference coordinator for Software Publishers Association Europe.

From the year 2000 till 2003, Hill worked at the Tech-TV. She used to work as a part of Tech-TV News program which was later named as “Tech Live”. While there, she worked as a reporter for one year and then she started as a co-anchor and correspondent from 2001 till 2003. During that time, Hill was noted for reporting live of 11th September 2001 Terrorists attacks.

Hill then resigned from Tech-TV and moved to CNN’s Headline News channel in January of 2003. She began to work for different programs as a general news anchor. The following year, she joined the CNN Newsource as the national correspondent. From 2005 to 2006, she was a co-anchor of “Prime News Tonight” whereas from 2006 to 2008, she became an anchor of “Prime Time with Erica Hill”.

After that, in 2008, she became a full-time correspondent and substitute anchor for AC360 for which she used to provide news updates from April of 2005. In addition to that, she has also co-anchored the “CNN Tonight” during its run on from November 2009 to January 2010.

It was announced on 13th January 2010 by CBS that Hill would be replacing Russ Mitchell on the weekday edition of “The Early Show”. She also anchored CBS “Evening News” on 29th June and 5th July 2010 in the absence of Katie Couris. From January 2011 to July of 2012, Hill was a co-anchor on the CBS “This Morning” and its predecessor “The Early Show”.

She is currently working for the NBC News. On 1st November 2012, NBC News announced that Hill would be joining “Weekend Today” from 3rd November as a co-anchor and she would serve as NBC News national correspondent. Hill co-anchors the weekend edition of “Today” and she is also a national correspondent for all the platforms of NBC News.

Hill is very hard working person who respects and enjoys her job. Her way of presenting has impressed her fellow coworkers and gained her many fans.

 To talk about her personal life, Hill is a married woman. She married David Yount on 15th October of 2005. After a year of marriage, Hill gave birth to her first child, a son on 25th November 2006 whom she named Weston Robert Yount. Later in the year 2010 on 23rd March, she again gave birth to her second child, again a son named Sawyer Steven Yount. Hill and Yount are having a blissful married life so there are no signs of them heading for a divorce.

Apart from that, Hill is fluent in speaking French. Her favorite food is meatloaf. Hill stands tall at the height of five feet and six inches. In the year 2006, Hill was ranked at #35 in the 100 Most Beautiful People issue by People’s magazine.
