Dzhokhar Tsarnaev who was convicted of planting the bombs at Boston Marathon on 15th April of 2013 along with his brother was born on 22nd July of the year 1993. His parents are Anzor Tsarnaev and Zubeidat Tsarnaev. He is the native of Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan. As a child, he immigrated to Russia with his family. When he was at the age of eight, the family again moved to United States. He went to study at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from where he got majored in September of 2011 with a major in the marine biology.
On 15th April of 2013, Tsarnaev was convicted of participating in Boston bombing together with his brother. He reportedly told to the FBI that he and his brother were both angry about US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and killing of the Muslims there. Tsarnaev has arraignment for 30 changes which includes four for the murder. United States Attorney General Eric Holder announced on 30th January of 2014 that federal government would seek death penalty against Tsarnaev. On 5th January of 2015, the trial began. Later on 8th April, he was found guilty on all 30 counts of indictment. On 15th May, the jury recommended that he be sentenced to the death by lethal injection on six counts of indictment.
Apart from that, Tsarnaev has now reached at the age of 21. He is of Kyrgyzstani-American nationality and Chechen-Avar ethnicity. The Rolling Stone Tsarnaev cover was named as the Hottest Cover of the Year in December of the year 2013 by the Adweek Magazine with newsstand sales doubling from the 60000 to 120000. The picture which was on the cover was taken by Dzhokhar himself, not by a professional studio photographer. He has been largely emotionless throughout his trial.
