She was born in the city of Kenner which is situated in the state of Louisiana. Her mother’s name is Jean Marie and her father’s name is Joseph Brazile. She is the third child among the nine children in the family. She started growing interest in politics when she was nine years old and at that time a local candidate promised to build a playground in the neighborhood. She took part in the TRIO upward Bound program when she was in high school. She completed her bachelor degree education in industrial psychology from Louisiana University and now is a fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
