Debbie Wasserman Schultz is famous across the globe as an American politician; she was born in the year 1966, 27th September. She is the Unites States Representative of Florida’s 23rd congressional district, Chair of Democratic National Committee and the member of Democratic Party.
She used to serve Florida House of representatives and was a campaign co-chair of for the unsuccessful run for the President. She is recorded to be the first Jewish woman elected in Florida State. Her portions of the district covers Broward and Miami- Dade Couties which also includes highly populated coastal cities of Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale. She took birth in the Forest Hills of the New York City and she has been the daughter of Ann and Larry Wasserman. Her father Larry is a CPA. Starting from the year 1968 till the year 1978, her family lived in the Lido Beach in New York. Her family moved to the Melville where she graduated from her high school in the year 1984. She achieved a Bachelors in Arts in the year 1988 and Masters in art along with a certificate regarding political campaigning in the year 1990 from the University of Gainesville.
When in University of Florida, she was an active student in the government who served as President of the Student Senate and was the founder of the Rawlings Area Council Government. She also was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society. She basically served as a President Graduate student Council and as Vice President of UF College. She has been given the credit for her experiences in the student politics and her love for politics and political processes.
She currently lives in the city of Weston which is located out of the Fort Lauderdale along with three children and her husband Steve Schultz. She is also an active member for the National Jewish Democrat Council, Planned parenthood and Hadassah.
In the year 2009, she announced that he had to go different surgeries and processes which were directly related to breast cancer in the year 2008 while she was maintaining her duties as a member of House. Afterwards, she promoted her efforts regarding early screening of the breast cancer.
She also is a member of New democrat Coalition force and was appointed to the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee in her first term. At the time of 2006 elections, she also raised around 17 million dollars in a campaign for the sake of her democratic colleagues. She got chosen as the Chief Deputy Whip and was appointed to the Appropriations Committee which is a plum assignment for a congresswoman carrying out her endeavors in the second year.
She voted in the favor of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 and also for the revised version of the act in the year 2008.
