Darlington Nagbe is an American soccer player who was born in the year 1990 in the month of July which makes his age 25 years at present. He is a soccer player who plays for Portland Timber in the Major Soccer League and he also plays soccer for the United States men’s National Soccer Team; he plays as a midfielder.

He was originally born in Liberia but he left the country when he was only five months of age because their family had to fly away from the country due to civil war. The family had to take away Darlington and his brother with them.

Then his mother joined her husband, whose name is Joe Nagbe, who used to be a professional football player; his career helped the family to move out to different countries like France, Greece, Switzerland and they finally settled down in Ohio in the city of Cleveland in the year 2001 and Darlington was a boy of 11 when they settled down.

He was brought up in the city of Lakewood which is situated at Ohio. During his stay at Lakewood, he went to Lakewood High School and then again to St. Edward High school with a total goal of 18 backed up with 10 assists. He also was a member of Region II ODP team, Ohio North ODP. He won four whole state club titles with Cleveland Internationals.

In the year 2015, in the month of November, he was named to the United States National Team roster for two 2018 FIFA qualifying matches against St. Vincent and Tobago. He recently made his international debut in the year 2015, on 13th November where he came as the substitute in the 64th Minute.

His mother’s name is Somah Nagbe. He is the second eldest in the family as he has two younger siblings and both of them are his sisters whose names are Martha and Seta with an elder brother whose name is Joe. In the year 2012, he got married to Felicia Houtz and they are blessed with a daughter whose name is Mila and a son whose name is Kingston. Besides his wife at present, he did not have any girlfriend prior to his marriage.

He received his permanent settlement certificate, his green card in the year 2012 which made him able to play for MLS roster. Though he is a Liberian by nationality with white ethnicity, he eventually became the citizen of U.S. in the year 2015 in the month of September.

He used to play college soccer at the University of Akron where he scored 19 goals and contributed 19 assists in 73 matches when in college seasons. He also was a Soccer America All-Freshman first team honoree and was named All-Mac Newcomer in the year 2008 when he was a freshman.

At the time of his college years, he also played four seasons with Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League where he scored 7 goals in a total of 18 appearances made. He is 1.75 meters tall and he earns roughly 8 thousand USD as on 2015 contributing to his net worth.
