Clarke Carlisle who is an English former professional football player was born on 14th October 1979. He had played as the defender and was also the chairman of Professional Footballer’s Association. He is the native of Preston, England. He is the son of Mervin and Rose. While he was a teenager, he attended the Balshaw’s CE High School located in Leyland. He then attended 10 A-grades at the GCSE. After that, he went on to study A-Level Mathematics and the politics at the Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College. He also has a degree in the professional sports writing and broadcasting from the Staffordshire University.

During his early career, he was inspired by his father to become a football player. She started to play the football at very young age. He also represented the Lancashire at Under-15 level. After that, he was signed by the Blackpool. There he became the trainee with youth team. He made his debut for the Blackpool on 2nd September of 1997. Besides that he had also played for the Queens Park Rangers from 2000 till 2004, Leeds United from 2004 to 2005, Watford from 2005 till 2007, Luton Town in 2007, Burnley from 2007 till 2012, Preston North End from 2011 till 2012, Northampton in 2012, York City from 2012 till 2013. Later, he announced on 23rd May of 2013 that he was getting retired from playing.

To talk about his personal life, Clarke has already married. He is married to Gemma. He met his wife just prior to his admission to Sporting Chance Clinic. The couple exchanged their vows with each other on island of Antigua. They are residing in Ripponden. They have two children together. Among them one is a son named Marley and another is a daughter named Honey. He also has one daughter from his previous marriage and she is named as Francesca. There has also been rumored that he is a gay but the new is not confirmed.

Apart from that, Clarke has now reached at the age of 35 and he stands tall at the towering height of six feet and three inches. He is of Dominican descent. He has also written a book which is titled as You Don’t Know Me But… A Footballer’s Life and it was launched at the Waterstones in Leeds.
