Personal Life
Celina Alexandra Hinchcliffe celebrates her birthday on the 21st of March and was born in Bracknell, Berkshire, England as the daughter of famous television Philip Hinchcliffe. She is also niece to the actor Geoffrey Whitehead.
For her education, Hinchcliffe was sent to the independent Sir William Perkins’s School in Chertsey. She later went on to attend the University of Birmingham and graduate with a first class degree in English Literature.
Hinchcliffe tied the marital knot in the May of 2009 and was blessed with her first child, a son, in the year that followed. She gave birth to her second child, another son, in 2013. She has mentioned suffering from post-natal depression and recovering after receiving good counseling.
Hinchcliffe, apart from her journalist life, is also involves herself in social works and is a patron of the Cedar House Support Group, a community that helps people suffering from post-natal depression.
Professional Life
Surprisingly, the gorgeous journalist Celina Hinchcliffe didn’t start out on the same path as she is now on. Hinchcliffe began her professional career working at theatre companies and travelled a lot.
Her broadcasting career started when she was hired by BBC Southern Counties Radio in 2001. She moved on to working as a reporter for the BBC World Service on African Football. After this, she worked at BBC Radio 5 Live as well.
Hinchcliffe began working as a sports presenter for BBC News and BBC World News from the summer of 2002 and in 2005, she was given the opportunity to lead the BBC Two’s live coverage team during the England’s matches in the women’s European football championship.
She achieved the feat of being the first woman to present BBC One’s Saturday lunchtime show Football Focus on 21st January, 2006. She had already become the first woman to present the Match of the Day back in 2005.
In 2006, Hinchcliffe was assigned by BBC Three to cover some of England’s qualifiers for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2007. She also made appearances on BBC 8pm News Summary, filling in for Ellie Crisell in 2008. She departed from BBC after her final on-air presentation on 21st February 2012.
She started a new journey with Sky News in the March of 2012 and began serving as the network’s sports bulletin presenter from January 2013.

Hinchcliffe has achieved many milestones in her career and has no intention of stopping. Regardless, her social media profile isn’t as big as other reporters in her position.
She is available on Twitter at @CHinchcliffeTV and has around 1700 followers only. She joined the site on February 2012 and has tweeted around 800 times till date.
