Candace Helanie Cameron Bure was born on April 6, 1976 to Robert Cameron and Barbara Bausmith Cameron. She is the Younger Sister of Kirk Cameron, an actor renowned for his role on the sitcom Growing Pains. She is an American actress, producer and an author. She is most famously known for her role of D.J Tanner on the revered Television Series Full House.
She started in the entertainment business through television commercials after which she guest starred in roles on shows like Alice, Growing pains and who’s the boss. However her most defining breakthrough came when she landed a prominent role on the Television show full house. She starred in the role of Donna Jo D.J Tanner, the eldest of three children. The show full house which ran from 1987-1995 is celebrated as one of the most successful television shows of all time. She also featured on No one would Tell, She Cried No and Camp Cacamonga. After the show Full House ended in 1995, she guest starred on American Sitcoms such as Cybill and Boy meets world. In 1997 she played the role as the youngest sister of Eric Stoltz in American Romance film 'Some Kind of Wonderful'. In 2006 she guest starred on the sitcom that's so raven. Her co starred with Randy Travis in Christian drama film, The wager. She played the role of Summer Van Horne on the television series 'Make it or Break it' in 2009.
In 2014, she competed on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars where her professional partner was Mark Ballas. The couple ended in third place. In 2015 it was announced that she will reprise her role of D.J Tanner in 2016 Netflix spinoff Fuller House. Bure announced that she wills co-host The View's 19'th season.
Cameron Bure has also written three books where the book Reshaping it All: Motivation for Physical and Spiritual Fitness (published on January 2011) won New York Best Seller.
