Bob Simon is an experience tv correspondent who was born on 29 May 1941 in The Bronx, New York. He went to Brandeis University and graduated there. He served as American Foreign Service officer. 

He is married to Francoise Simon. He has dedicated much of his life to television mostly to CBS and is reciepent of Edward Weintal Prize given by Georgetown University, Emmy Award, George Foster Peacebody award. This highly talented man died in a car accident in Manhattan in New York city on 11 February 2015.
