Bill O Reilly who is an American Television host, an author, syndicated columnist as well as political commentator was born on 10th September 1949. Although he is mostly known by the name Bill O Reilly, as a child, he was named as William James O’Reilly Jr. He is the native of New York City, New York US. Bill is the son of William James Sr. and wife Winifred Angela Drake O’Reilly. In the year 1951, Bill along with his family moved to the Levittown on Long Island when he was at the age of two. He also has one sister named Janet. Bill went to St. Brigid Parochial School that is located in Westbory. He also attended the Chaminade High School which is the private Catholic Boys High School located in Mineola.it was the school where his father wanted him to study but O’Reilly wanted to study in the W. Tresper Clarke High School which was the public school where most of his closest friend studied.
While he was in the school, he played the Little League Baseball as well as he was also a goalie on Chaminade Varsity Hockey Team. He got graduated from the high school in the year 1967. He then went on to join the Marist College located in Poughkeepsie, New York. It was also the choice of his father. During his time there, he played the punter in National Club Football Association as well as he was also the writer for the school’s newspaper called The Circle. He got majored in history. He spent his time at Queen Mary College at University of London for his junior year college abroad. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in the history in 1971. From the year 1970 till 1972, he taught the English and the history at the Monsignor Pace High School. He then again returned to the school in 1973 and attended Boston University from where he earned himself a Master of Arts degree in the broadcast journalism.
Bill then again returned to New York in 1980 and began to anchor his own program. He then joined the CBS as news correspondent. After six years, he joined the ABC News. He worked there for three years and during that period, he earned two Emmy Awards as well as two National Headliner Awards for her excellence in the reporting. Her career took turn in the year 1989 when she moved to the national syndicated show “Inside Edition”. Re remained with the show for six years as an anchor and then left the show. Later, in the year 1996, Bill was hired by FOX News Channel for hosting his own show titled The O’Reilly Factor. The show became the most watched news program in 2001. He had also written the Weekly Syndicated Newspaper Column through Creators Syndicate which appeared in numbers of newspapers such as New York Post and Chicago Sun-Times. He discontinued column at end of the year 2013.
At the time of attending Boston University, he also worked as a reporter and as a columnist for various local newspapers as well as alternative news weeklies also including the Boston Phoenix, and he also interned in newsroom of the WBZ-TV. It was in the year 1995 when Bill established himself as a National Media Personality. He also went to the Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government/ from there, he received Master of Public Administration degree in 1996.

To talk about his personal life, Bill was previously married to Maureen E. McPhilmy who is a public relations executive. Bill and Maureen met each other in the year 1992. Later, they got married to each other on 2nd November 1996 at St. Brigid Parish of Westbury. They together have two children a daughter and a son. Their first child, a daughter named Madeline was born in the year 1998 and their second child, a son was born in 2003 whom they named Spencer. Due to some personal reason, the couple got separated in 2nd April of 2010. Later they were divorced on 1st September 2011. Each of them are currently residing in suburban Manhasset, New York.
