Benik Afobe is an English professional football player who is presently playing as a striker for the Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers. He is the native of Leyton, England. He came into this world on 12th February of the year 1993 which has now made him reach at the age of 22. Although he is known by the name Benik Afobe, as a child, he was named as Benik Tunani Afobe by his parents. He is a tall guy with the towering height of six feet that is 1.83 m.

Benik joined the Arsenal F.C. Academy when he was 6 years old. He was playing for the Sunday League Team Eclipse FC in the Dagenham when he got spotted by the Arsenal scout Gary Nott. He then joined the Arsenal on 1st May of the year 2001. Later, on 2nd November of 2010, he agreed on the terms for joining the League One club Huddersfield Town on the loan until December of 2010. In addition to that, he had also played for the Reding, Bolton Wanderers, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday, and Milton Keynes Dons. On 14th January of 2015, he signed a three and half years deal with the Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed salary rumored to be £2 million.

Prior to that, Benik had captained for the England under-21s at Junior World Cup in France in the year 2005. In 2008, he was the part of England under-16 team which won Victory Shield scoring four goals in the three games equalling England under-16 record of Michael Owen. In addition to that, Benik was also the part of England under-17 squad which won 2010 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He was called Among the Best of the Crop as well as a prolific striker by the Guardian’s sports blog. In August of 2010, he joined the England under-19 squad.

The next year in June, he was called up to England under-20 team for FIFA U-20 World Cup in the Columbia. However Benik was withdrawn from squad by the Arsenal for joining first team pre-season camp in Germany. He was also called up for replacing Danny Welbeck of Manchester United from the England U-21 in August however he pulled out because of groin injury. On 18th June of the year 2015, he was called up for replacing injured Saido Berahino at 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. It is not known whether he has girlfriend or dating anyone.
