Arsene Wenger who is a French football manager as well as a former player was born on 22nd October of the year 1949. He is the native of Strasbourg, France. He is the son of Alphonse and Louise Wenger. He was born as the third child among three children to his parents. During 1950s, he lived in Duppigheim but he spent most of the time in neighboring village of Duttlenheim which is 10 miles South-West of Strasbourg. In October of 1944, he was sent to fight on Eastern Front when he was 24 years old. Before he began his school at six, he expressed himself in local Alsatian dialect of the Low Alemannic German. He was one of the brightest students and later, he was accepted to the secondary school in the Obernai.
In the year 1969, he was recruited to the nearby third division club Mutzig which was famed for playing best amateur football in the Alsace and it was managed by Max Hild who would later got to be the mentor of Wender. During his three years at the Mutzig, that club beat the FC Strasbourg 06 3-0 for winning Coupe d’Alsace. In addition to that, he also represented the Alsace in a competition that held annually between regional leagues. He then received a manager’s diploma in 1981 in Paris. From 1984 till 1987, he became the manager of Nancy and after that; he managed the Monaco till 1994. He then joined the Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1995 and remained there till the following year. Since 1996, he has been the manager of Arsenal.
