Albertin Aroldis Chapman de la Cruz is known across the baseball world as one of the professional Cuban baseball pitchers. He was born in the year 1988, 28th February. He plays for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball and he also has experience of playing for the Cincinnati Reds and Holguin in the Cuban National series. He was born in the city of Holguin in Cuba and he lived in a three room house along with his parents and two sisters. His father was once a boxing trainer and he had taught Aroldis how to box.
His friend invited him to join a local basketball team when he was 15 years of age; then he began playing as a first baseman till the coach noticed that he could throw well enough to become a pitcher. He then started his career as a pitcher in the year 2003.

In the year 2014, June 30th his son Atticus Gabriel took birth and in the year 2012 in the month of May it was reported that he was getting sued because he was accused of being an informant for the Cuban State Authorities and failed defection attempt and then helped turn in another man to get back to National Baseball Team.
In the year 2015, 7th December, a news broke out that he was involved in domestic violence. The trade which was pending Los Angeles Dodgers was kept on hold to investigate the incident; he was even accused of chocking his girlfriend and firing eight gunshots. His attorney issued a statement of denying all the accusations.
