Amanda Redman who is an English actress was born on 12th August of the year 1957. She has played the character of Sandra Pullman in BBC One series known as New Tricks. She is the native of Brighton, Sussex, England. She is the daughter of Ronald and Joan. Her father was from the Yorkshire who died in 1980 whereas her mother was born in India. When she was 5 months old, she was she was involved in an accident which badly scarred on her upper arm. She was then scalded with the pan of boiling turkey and vegetables soup as well as suffered from the burns to 75 percent of her body. The arm was only the part of her body which was permanently affected. But the trauma was so severe that Amanda was pronounced clinically dead at Queen Victoria Hospital that is located in East Grinstead, Sussex.
Redman got trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In the year 1984, she made her appearance in BBC Shakespeare production of the Pericles, Prince of Tyre as Marian opposite to Mike Gwilym. She also portrayed the character of Maxine in the Oxbridge Blues which was a British TV mini-series produced by BBC and it was first shown in the year 1984 written by Frederick Raphael. The following year, she played the role of Janet in touring version of the Rocky Horror Show. After that, she appeared as Miss Fairfax in the year 1986 in BBC Drama production of the Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.
