Alfonso Ribeiro who is an American actor, dancer, television director as well as game show host was born on 21st September 1971. He is the native of Bronx, New York, United States. As a child, he was born as Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro Sr. to his Trinidad and Tobago parents who are named Michael and Joy Ribeiro.

Alfonso Ribeira started his career when he was at the age of eight. He first gained recognition in the year 1983 when he portrayed the role I Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid. For that performance, he received a lot of positive reviews as well as he was also nominated for Outer Critics Circle Award. In 1984, Alfonso made his appearance as a dancer in one of the Michael Jackson’s Pepsi television commercials. There was also spread of rumor that Ribeira died while he was dancing for the commercial from the snapping of his neck.

He was also cast on TV series Silver Spoons on the same year as the best friend of Rick Schroder. The following year, Alfonso made his appearance in a commercial as himself on the MTV advertising a dance instruction book that he authored which was called “Alfonso’s Breakin & Poppin’ Book”.

In addition to that, he has also released a 12” rap record named Timebomb on Prism Records. From the year 1990 to 1996, he portrayed the role of cousin to the lead character of Will Smith Banks on NBC sitcom named The Fresh Prince of Bel Air which was the most notable role of his. Later, he began to host the game show titled Catch 21 in the year 2008 which aired on GSN.

Besides that, he has also directed some episodes of the Meet the Browns and majority of season two episodes of television series Are We There Yet? Alfonso began to host his second game show in 2013 which is named as Spell-Mageddon on the ABC Family.

Besides, his filmography and other television credits includes Oye Willie, John Grin’s Christmas, Magnum, P.I., Out on the Edge, Mighty Pawns, A Different World, Ticks, Spider Man, In the House, Extreme Ghostbusters, Kidz in the Wood, Love Wrecked, Your Big Break, All of Us, Celebrity Duets, Things We Do for Love, GSN Live, Big Time Rush, and Shake It Up.

Prior to that, Alfonso has also took part in the thirteenth series of British celebrity jungle based reality show called I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here which aired on ITV. He took part as the contestant in November and December of 2013. In addition to that, Alfonso is also going to compete in the nineteenth season of the Dancing with the Stars in which he is paired with the professional dancer Witney Carson.

To talk about his personal life, Ribeiro has married twice and divorced once. He is now married to his lovely wife Angela Unkrich who is a writer. The couple got engaged on July of the year 2012 and later exchanged their vows on 13th October of the same year. Alfonso and Angela have one child, a son who is named Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro Jr. He was born on 27th October of 2013.

Previous to that, he was married to Robin Stapler in 2002. Due to some reason, they got divorced on 2006 by filming the papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court which cited the irreconcilable differences. He also has a daughter with his previous wife named Sienna Ribeiro. They both share a joint custody of Sienna.

Apart from that, standing at the height of five feet and six inches taller, Alfonso is a professional tap dancer. He has an estimated net worth of $5 million. He was ranked at number 95 on The Greatest: 100 Greatest Kid Starts on VH1 in the year 2005.
