An American Oregon Army National Guardsman specialist Alek Skarlatos who along with the fellow Americans Spencer Stone as well as Anthony Sadler, a Briton and the two Frenchmen, stopped a gunman on Paris bound train travelling from the Amsterdam via Brussels in August of the year 2015. Alek has been awarded United States Army Soldier’s Medal from the U.S. President Barack Obama as well as he has also received the highest decoration of the France, Legion of Honour from French President Francois Hollande and a medal of french city of Arras.

Alek and his two friends were travelling together on 21st August of 2015 on the vacation in Europe. He was sitting on the window seat of Thalys train 9364 from the Amsterdam bound to Paris via Brussels. A 25 years old Moroccan man believed to be named as Ayoub El-Khazzani was in the train car number 12 armed with AKM assault rifle as well as he was also equipped with the 270 rounds of ammunition. Alek’s friends who is a 23 years old Spencer Stone then attacked that gunman first and he was injured while trying to subdue him. After that, Alek took the action and also seized the rifle of the assailant beating him in his head with muzzle of it until he was unconcious.

At present, Alek is performing as one of the competitor in the 21st season on the ABC’s Dancing with the Stars in which he has been partnered with the professional dancer Lindsay Arnold. Alek has stated that he was inspired to compete on the show by Noah Galloway who is a soldier who was on previous season of that series. Talking about his personal life biography, as far as we know, Alek is single. He is not dating anyone nor has any girlfriend. Besides that, there is no news found about his height.

A native of Roseburg, Oregon United States came into this world on 10th October of the year 1992 which has now made him at the age of 23. Although he is known by the name Alek Skarlatos, as a child, he was named as Aleksander R. Skarlatos. She is the son of Emanuel Skarlatos and Heidi Hansen. He went to get his education from the Roseburg High school. Since 2012, he has been in Oregon Army National Guard. As of September of 2015, he holds the rank of the Specialist. Previously, Alek was deployed in Afghanistan for 9 months. Besides that, he can also be followed in Instagram and Twitter.
