Alan Graham Carr is an English comedian and also a television personality who was born on 14th June in the year 1976 (age 39). He too birth in the city of Weymouth at Dorset; he had spent majority of his time of childhood in Northampton before their family moved to Chorlton-cum-Hardy in the Manchester during his early 20s. He began his career as a comedian after he moved to the Manchester. His first ever being in a spotlight in his career as a rookie was in the year of 2001 for City Life, Best Newcomer of the year and BBC New Comedy Award. In his beginning years, he started his career at the Manchester before he became famous for hosting the Friday Night along with Justin Lee Collins which led to a release of a short entertainment show “Alan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong”in the year 2008 and gradually a famous comedy chat show named “ Alan Carr: Chatty Man” which is currently being aired on channel 4 since the year 2009.
He also hosted a chow named “ Going out with Alan Carr” for three years on BBC Radio and also released his auto-biography “Look who It Is!” in the year 2008. He has registered many awards in his name which constitutes of British Comedy Awards, two National television Awards and a BAFTA TV Award. His father used to be a former Northampton Town as well as a Nuneaton Borough Football Club manager, who is also the current Newcastle United chief scout Graham Carr. He has a younger brother whose name is Gary; the family had come from the North East England. He went to Weston Favell Scholl at Northamton and graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies.
After he completed his degree he moved to Manchester where he sought for a better life and pursuing his career as a comedian, he also moved to a house filled with activity in Chorlton-cum- Hardy and after that he moved to Stretford which became his source of inspiration to pull off comedic works. Very soon, he became regular in The Manchester Comedy circuit which included “Alan Carr’s Ice Cream Sunday” at Manchester Comedy Store. He also became friends with fellow comedians like Jason Manford, John Bishop, and Justin Moorhouse. Though he is a gay, he never considers his sexual preference as a major part of his actions.
He said that just because someone is gay doesn’t necessarily mean that he or she can be a role model. he is just a comedian. On 1st September in the year 2006, he and entertainer Lionel Blair helped a man who was about to fall off a pier. While accepting his award for the Best Entertainment Personality At British Comedy Awards, he dedicated that award to Karen Matthews who was found to be guilty for kidnapping Shannon Matthews, daughter of her own. He and his partner Paul Drayton are publicly seen everywhere in social networks like twitter and instagram, but he is not married and has said no to marriage and smoking as well.
