Adel Taarabt who is a professional football player was born on 24th May 1989. He is the native of Fes, Morocco. Adel plays as an attacking midfielder for the Queens Park Rangers and he can also be used as winger. While he was at his young age, Adel with his family moved to small town called the Berre-I’Etang, Bouches-du-Rhone, France.
At the beginning of his career, Adel started at the Lens in 2004. He played all together 14 games for the RC Lens B in Championnat de France amateur. During 2006-07 season, he made his one first team appearance. On 2nd January of the year 2007, Adel signed the Tottenham Hotspur on long term loan. He made the first senior appearance within the two months in Tottenham shirt. He entered as a substitute in 87th minute for Pascal Chimbonda. The match was against the local rivals West Ham United. Adel made his only appearance of the laon on 7th of April. It was a 1-0 defeat at the other local rival Chelsea in which he was replaced to Teemu Tainio after 64 minutes.
Later, on 8th June, Adel was permanently signed by the Tottenham. He then joined Championship team Queens Park rangers on 13th March 2009 on the loan until end of the season. His first goal for the QPR was a 2-1 win over the Bristol City. After he got suffered from a knee injury, his loan was cut short. The injury required a surgery. He then again rejoined Queens on 23rd July of 2009 for 2009-2010 season. It was confirmed on October of the same year by Tottenham that Adel could stay at the Queens for the season. He was quoted in a interview on March 2010 as being sorry because he joined the Tottenham.
He said that it was his big mistake that he signed the Tottenham and not go to other club. He also told that he wished he has signed for the Arsenal. He was again interviewed in January 2011 by Evening Standard and in that interview, he stated that the man who took him on Tottenham was Damien Comolli. Before, he was at the Arsenal and when Adel was going there as well, Damien moved to the Tottenham and told him to come there.
Apart from that, Taarabt has also played internationally. He played his first international match on 11th February 2009 with the Morocco which was the friendly match against Czech Republic in Casablanca. In addition to that, he also appeared during the Morocco’s 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier defeat against Gabon on 29th March. He made his first international goal on 31st March 2009 which was a victory over Angola. He decided on 3rd June 2011 that he would end his international career. He reneged on his decision and returned for the last qualifier against Tanzania in 9th October. Later, he was left out of the Morocco’s squad on 26th December of the year 2012 for 2013 Africa Cup of Nations by the coach Rachid Taoussi.
Adel signed for the A.C. Milan on 30th January 2014 for until the end of the year. His first goal for Milan was after 8 minutes into his debut game against Napoli. He then made his debut in the Champions League on 19th February.
Apart from that, Adel stands at the height of five feet and ten inches and he is a Muslim. He is now at the age of 25 and he has already got married in the year 2011 with his girlfriend.
